Ajay Devgn is an Indian film actor, director and producer born on 2 April 1969 in New Delhi, India. He began his acting career with Phool Aur Kaante in 1991 and has since appeared in over a hundred Hindi films, winning two National Film Awards and four Filmfare Awards. In 2016, he was honoured with the Padma Shri by the Government of India.

Ajay Devgn made his acting debut in 1991 with Phool Aur Kaante, for which he received the Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut. In 1998, he starred in Mahesh Bhatt's drama Zakhm, earning his first National Film Award for Best Actor. The following year, he played Vanraj in Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, a role that brought him wide recognition. In 2000, he established his production company, Ajay Devgn FFilms, and in 2008 he made his directorial debut with U Me Aur Hum. His recent work includes the thriller Drishyam 2 (2022), where he reprised the role of Vijay Salgaonkar, and the action film Singham Again (2024), in which he played Bajirao Singham and also served as producer. In 2024, he portrayed Syed Abdul Rahim in the sports drama Maidaan and appeared as Kabir Rishi in the horror thriller Shaitaan, which he also produced. He took on the roles of director, producer and actor for the action film Bholaa (2023). In 2022, he played Rahim Lala in Gangubai Kathiawadi, Captain Vikrant Khanna in Runway 34 (which he also directed and produced), and Alluri Venkatarama Raju in RRR. Looking ahead, he will star as Vijay Salgaonkar in Drishyam: The Conclusion (2026) and as Guddu in the comedy Dhamaal 4 (2026), which he is also producing. He is married to actress Kajol since 1999 and they have two children.
