Simmba story (no spoilers)

Sangram 'Simmba' Bhalerao is a corrupt police officer who enjoys all the perks of being an immoral and unethical cop. His life takes a dramatic turn when an event forces him to choose the righteous path. Set in the action-comedy genre, the film follows Simmba's journey from a self-serving officer to someone who must confront his own choices. The tone balances Rohit Shetty's trademark over-the-top action with comedic moments, as Simmba navigates a world of crime and corruption. The story focuses on his transformation and the conflict between his old ways and a new sense of justice. With a runtime of 159 minutes, the film blends mass entertainer elements with a moral dilemma at its core.

Our verdict

Simmba delivers exactly what you expect from a Rohit Shetty film: high-energy action, comedy, and a predictable but satisfying redemption arc. Ranveer Singh's performance as the corrupt cop turned righteous is the main draw. It's a solid entertainer if you enjoy the genre, but the 159-minute runtime might feel long for some.
