Dhurandhar story (no spoilers)
Dhurandhar is a Hindi action-crime thriller set in the early 2000s. An undercover operative, played by Ranveer Singh, infiltrates Karachi's underworld, working his way into its inner circle to dismantle a violent nexus from within. The film follows his dangerous double life as he navigates the criminal network led by figures like Rehman Dakait (Akshaye Khanna) and Uzair Baloch (Danish Pandor). With a runtime of 214 minutes, the story unfolds across Hindi, Punjabi and Urdu, blending tense undercover drama with action and crime elements. Directed by Aditya Dhar, the film also stars R. Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, Sara Arjun and Rakesh Bedi. The tone is gritty and suspenseful, focused on the pressure and risk of deep infiltration rather than flashy set pieces. It is the first film in the Dhurandhar Collection, followed by Dhurandhar: The Revenge in 2026.

- The 214-minute runtime gives the Karachi underworld infiltration room to breathe, with Hindi, Punjabi and Urdu dialogue adding texture.
- It is the first entry in the Dhurandhar Collection, so you are starting a two-film story that continues with Dhurandhar: The Revenge in 2026.
- For fans of action-crime thrillers, the early-2000s setting and an A certificate signal a darker, more adult take on the genre.

Our verdict
Dhurandhar is a deliberately paced, adult crime thriller that leans on its ensemble cast and undercover tension rather than quick thrills. The 214-minute runtime and A certificate mean it asks for patience and is not for younger viewers. If you enjoy gritty infiltration stories, this first chapter sets up a two-part collection worth considering.
