LOC: Kargil story (no spoilers)
LOC: Kargil dramatizes the 1999 conflict between India and Pakistan over Kashmir, when more than 1,000 men crossed the Line of Control that separates the two locations. Taliban and Pakistani soldiers took over the area, blocking the main road that linked the regions. Indian soldiers stood their ground and drove them away, but not before losing more than 400 of their own men. The film presents these events as a war history, focusing on the military confrontation and the cost of holding the line.

Our verdict
LOC: Kargil is a long, earnest war film that recreates a specific chapter of the 1999 conflict. The ensemble cast and J. P. Dutta's direction give it scale, though the 255-minute runtime and mixed ratings mean it's not for everyone. It's a solid pick if you want a detailed Hindi war drama.
