Subedaar story (no spoilers)
Subedaar Arjun Maurya is a retired Subedaar whose civilian life is already frayed: he is haunted by loss and drifting away from his daughter, Shyama Maurya. Then one reckless act jolts his new life and reopens old wounds. To face a new kind of war that hits too close to his heart, Arjun must summon the warrior within. The Hindi action-crime drama, directed by Suresh Triveni, stars Anil Kapoor as Arjun and Radhikka Madan as Shyama, with Aditya Rawal, Saurabh Shukla, Mona Singh, Faisal Malik, Khusbhu Sundar and Nana Patekar. The tagline, 'Cross me and you'll regret it,' sets a tense, confrontational tone. At 142 minutes and rated A, it is a grounded, dramatic story about a man pulled back into conflict.

Our verdict
Subedaar pairs Anil Kapoor with director Suresh Triveni for a Hindi action-crime drama about a retired soldier whose civilian life is upended by one reckless act. The A certificate and 142-minute runtime suggest a tense, adult-oriented story rather than a light entertainer. If you like grounded conflict and family drama in your action, this one is worth a look.
