Gatta Kusthi story (no spoilers)
Veera wants a wife who is timid, not very educated, subservient, and has long hair. Instead, he unknowingly marries Keerthi, an intrepid wrestler who is more educated than him and has cropped hair. Keerthi tries to maintain a charade to fit Veera's expectations. The comedy-drama, directed by Chella Ayyavu, follows how long she can keep up the act and what happens when Veera learns the truth. The film explores the clash between Veera's traditional expectations and Keerthi's independent, athletic identity, with a tone that blends humour and drama.

Our verdict
Gatta Kusthi offers a light-hearted look at how a husband's expectations collide with his wife's true self. Aishwarya Lekshmi and Vishnu Vishal anchor the comedy-drama, though the 146-minute runtime may feel long for some. It's a decent pick if you enjoy Tamil films about relationships with a humorous touch.
