Ravi Teja began his career in the 1990s, working as an assistant director and playing uncredited and supporting roles. He played lead roles in Srinu Vaitla's romantic drama Nee Kosam (1999) and Krishna Vamsi's ensemble film Khadgam (2002), both of which earned him Nandi Special Jury Awards. He collaborated with director Puri Jagannadh on Itlu Sravani Subramanyam (2001), Idiot (2002), and Amma Nanna O Tamila Ammayi (2003). His other films include Venky (2004), Vikramarkudu (2006), Dubai Seenu (2007), Krishna (2008), Neninthe (2008), Kick (2009), Don Seenu (2010), Mirapakay (2011), Balupu (2013), Power (2014), and Raja the Great (2017). He won the Nandi Award for Best Actor for Neninthe (2008) and a Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actor – Telugu for Waltair Veerayya (2023). In the 2020s, he appeared in Disco Raja (2020) as Disco Raja / Vasu, Krack (2021) as CI Potharaju Veera Shanker, Dhamaka (2022) as Anand Chakravarthy / Swamy, Khiladi (2022) as Mohan Gandhi, Ravanasura (2023) as Advocate Ravindra, Tiger Nageswara Rao (2023) as Tiger Nageswara "Nagi" Rao, and Waltair Veerayya (2023) as ACP Vikram Sagar. He also produced Ravanasura (2023) and Gatta Kusthi (2022) under his banner RT Team Works. His upcoming film is Irumudi (2026) as Trinadh Rama Kasu.
