Gatta Kusthi 2 story (no spoilers)
Gatta Kusthi 2 picks up after the events of the first film, with Veera and Keerthi now balancing parenthood and Keerthi's wrestling career. The story centres on a role reversal: Veera takes on more domestic responsibilities at home while Keerthi continues to pursue her sport. Their daughter Madhi is part of the family setup, and characters like 'Mama' Ratnam, 'Chithappa' Ganesan and 'Sattam' Sattanathan return in supporting roles. The film is a Tamil comedy-drama, so expect the humour to come from the everyday friction of running a household and the adjustments both partners make. The tone stays light and family-oriented rather than heavy, with the wrestling backdrop giving Keerthi's arc some physical stakes. Running 153 minutes, it is a sequel that assumes you know these characters from the 2022 original, though the core conflict of who does what at home stands on its own.

Our verdict
Gatta Kusthi 2 brings back Veera and Keerthi with a role-reversal setup that suits Vishnu Vishal and Aishwarya Lekshmi. Chella Ayyavu keeps it in comedy-drama territory rather than a pure sports film, and the U certificate makes it easy to watch with family. If you liked the 2022 original, this sequel continues that story on Netflix from 2026-07-31.
