Border 2 story (no spoilers)
Border 2 is a Hindi action drama set during the 1971 Indo-Pak war. It follows three idealistic soldiers serving in different branches of the Indian armed forces: Lt. Col. Fateh Singh Kaler (Sunny Deol) in the army, Major Hoshiar Singh Dahiya (Varun Dhawan) in the navy, and Fg. Offr. Nirmal Jit Singh Sekhon (Diljit Dosanjh) in the air force. As the conflict escalates, these men face grueling combat conditions that test their resolve, training and camaraderie. The film also features Lt. Cdr. Mahendra S. Rawat (Ahan Shetty) and the soldiers' families, including Simi Singh Kaler (Mona Singh), Manjit Sekhon (Sonam Bajwa), Sudha Rawat (Anya Singh) and Dhanvanti (Medha Rana). The tone is serious and grounded, focusing on the strain of war on the soldiers and their loved ones. Directed by Anurag Singh, the film runs 201 minutes and is certified U/A 13+ in India. It is the second instalment in the Border Collection, following Border (1997).

Our verdict
Border 2 brings together a large cast led by Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan and Diljit Dosanjh for a 1971 war story that runs over three hours. If you liked the 1997 Border or enjoy military dramas, this one is built for you. Others may find the length and serious tone a lot to commit to.
