Sing Geetham story (no spoilers)
Set in an isolated village, Sing Geetham follows young Prathap, who is looking for a way out and a chance to prove himself. His search for opportunity pulls him into a world of deception, where forces he cannot control take over. Caught between the pull of progress and the need to preserve what his community has always known, Prathap finds his beliefs and his sense of purpose put to the test. The film mixes comedy, music and drama as it traces how far he will go and what he is willing to hold on to. With Gowri, Renu, Basavamma and a cast of village figures around him, Prathap's journey becomes a story about ambition, trust and the cost of change. The tone moves between light humour and serious reflection, carried along by music rather than big action set pieces.
Should you watch Sing Geetham?
Watch it for
- Director Singeetham Srinivasa Rao brings his long experience to a village story that blends comedy, music and drama.
- Devi Sri Prasad's music is central to a film that is partly about singing and community life.
- Ayaan plays Prathap, a young man caught between progress and preservation, with Ahilya Bamroo as Gowri and Tulasi as Basavamma.
- At 137 minutes and rated U, it is a compact, family-friendly watch rather than a long, heavy drama.
Skip it if
- You prefer fast-paced action or thrillers over a slow-burning village drama about beliefs and change.
- You are not interested in music-led stories where songs carry much of the emotional weight.
- You want a clear-cut hero-versus-villain plot; this one is built around deception and inner conflict.

Our verdict
Sing Geetham is a village-set comedy-drama that leans on music and a young man's moral dilemma rather than big twists. Singeetham Srinivasa Rao and Devi Sri Prasad give it a steady, old-school feel, and the U certificate makes it easy to watch with family. If you like stories about small communities and personal choices, it is worth a look.
