Chand Mera Dil story (no spoilers)
Chand Mera Dil is a Hindi romance drama releasing in theatres on 22 May 2026. The story follows Aarav Rawat (Lakshya) and Chandni Prasad (Ananya Panday), whose passionate college romance is struck by adulthood far too soon. Forced to balance their ambitions with responsibility, the two young lovers must navigate the pressures of growing up while discovering the evolved meaning of love. The film carries the tagline 'When love grows faster than life,' hinting at a bittersweet tone as Aarav and Chandni confront choices that test their relationship. With a runtime of 142 minutes and a U/A 16+ certificate, the narrative focuses on the emotional shifts that come when youthful romance meets real-world demands. Supporting cast includes Aastha Singh as Jyotsna, Paresh Pahuja as Kevin, Manish Chaudhary as Kamal Rawat, Iravati Harshe as Vandana Rawat, Charu Shankar as Nivedita Prasad, and Atul Kumar as Dr. Zeeshan. Directed by Vivek Soni, the film pairs romance with drama to explore how love matures under pressure.

Watch it for
- Ananya Panday and Lakshya lead as Chandni Prasad and Aarav Rawat, a pairing at the centre of a college romance that turns into an adulthood test.
- Director Vivek Soni steers a romance drama that focuses on ambition and responsibility rather than a simple happy-ever-after.
- The tagline 'When love grows faster than life' signals a bittersweet, grown-up take on young love, with a 142-minute runtime to let the relationship breathe.
- Sachin Sanghvi and Jigar Saraiya compose the music for this Hindi-language romance.
Skip it if
- You prefer fast-paced action or thrillers over a 142-minute romance drama about college sweethearts facing adulthood.
- You want a light, purely escapist love story; this one centres on balancing ambition with responsibility and the evolving meaning of love.
- You avoid U/A 16+ films, as this certificate suggests mature themes suited to older teens and adults.

Our verdict
Chand Mera Dil looks like a sincere romance drama that uses the college-to-adulthood shift to ask what love means once ambition and duty enter the picture. Ananya Panday and Lakshya anchor the film, and Vivek Soni's direction keeps the focus on emotional evolution rather than easy answers. If you like Hindi romances with a bittersweet edge, this one is worth considering.
