Our verdict
Bade Dilwala is a 1999 Hindi film that puts a principled police officer, Ram, against his wife Manthara's obsession with getting rich quick. Suniel Shetty and Archana Puran Singh carry the central conflict, and the mix of romance, comedy and drama keeps the tone varied. At 152 minutes it asks for patience, but it works as a family drama about values and money.
