Athiradi story (no spoilers)
Athiradi is a Malayalam comedy-drama centered on Samkutty, an energetic student who decides to bring back a banned college festival. His revival of the event sparks a fierce rivalry that turns what should be a celebration into full-blown chaos. The film follows Samkutty's efforts as the campus atmosphere shifts from festive to confrontational, with the conflict escalating around him. The tone blends the lightness of a college comedy with the tension of a drama about pride and competition. Alongside Samkutty are Sreekuttan 'Kuttan' Vellayani, Joseph Oommen, Swathy R Krishna, Varada, and Merin, whose lives get tangled in the fallout. Directed by Arun Anirudhan, the film runs 156 minutes and carries a U certificate, suggesting a broadly accessible take on student rivalries and the lengths people go to for a cause they believe in.
