Allu Arjun began his career as a child artist and made his lead-actor debut in Gangotri (2003). He rose to prominence with Arya (2004) and the action films Bunny (2005) and Desamuduru (2007). In 2008, he starred in the romantic drama Parugu, for which he received his first Filmfare Award for Best Actor – Telugu. He subsequently starred in successful films such as Aarya 2 (2009), Julayi (2012), Race Gurram (2014), S/O Satyamurthy (2015), Sarrainodu (2016), and Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo (2020). His performance in Pushpa: The Rise (2021) brought him greater recognition outside Telugu cinema and earned him the National Film Award for Best Actor, making him the first Telugu actor to receive the award in that category. In 2024, he reprised his role as Pushpa Raj in Pushpa 2 - The Rule.
